พระราชินีโปรดเกล้าฯให้ สันติ ลุนเผ่ ร้องเพลงปลุกใจสมัยก่อน ให้ทรงฟังทุกสัปดาห์

เมื่อไม่กี่เดือนก่อน (26 มีนาคม 2009) นิตยสาร The Magazine ที่แถมฟรีให้สมาชิก Bangkok Post ทุก 2 สัปดาห์ในวันพฤหัสบดี มีเรื่องน่าสนใจ ในคอลัมภ์ประจำ the profile ภายใต้ชื่อเรื่อง "ชีวิตของ สันติ ลุนเผ่" (The Life of Santi Lunpei) โดยได้เล่าประวัติชีวิตและสัมภาษณ์นักร้องเพลงปลุกใจชื่อดัง ในย่อหน้าสุดท้ายมีข้อความที่น่าสนใจ ดังนี้

Santi has continued to be active in music. He recently recorded 60 Luk Krung (pop) songs, waiting to be released, and he sang a duet with Pod Modern Dog. Santi's song Rak Poh (Love Dad) is also popular at the moment. His most cherished ongoing activity, however, occurs every Saturday evening when he sings the old patriotic songs for Her Majesty the Queen. "She wants to preserve these songs, I think. Otherwise they will disappear forever. And that would be a shame because they're a part of Thai history."
